What's the status on typing keywords into the URL bar I wonder?

Opera's latest standard browser still goes to google: http://www.google.com/search?client=opera&rls=en&q=%E0%B8%9A%E0%B8%B4%E0%B8%81%E0%B8%B4%E0%B8%99%E0%B8%B5%E0%B9%88&sourceid=opera&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8

I just downloaded the latest version of Opera and for some reason it appends .ca for me. It detected Canadian English in my system [or was it the mirror where it downloaded from] and it auto appends .ca
So, no Google for me but, someone tell me how to change it to .com, please. I tried the language thing in preferences and deleted Eng-ca, but the biatch isn't listening.

That's a good sign though.

It could also mean that the Russian version appends .ru

I believe you can change which extensions Opera tries and in which order here:

Tools -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Network -> Server Name Completion

New download of 10.50 still goes to Google search for me.

Apparently Opera 10.50 is not yet available for Linux, so what I dld. was 10.10
Non-news, then.
