We've been adding lots of static backlinks from our other sites to our first popular IDN keyword domain
www.テレビゲーム.com (http://www.テレビゲーム.com)

& using Digital Point's Keyword tracker we found out that we have #15 position on Yahoo for テレビゲーム

Unfortunatelly that's Yahoo.com

Yahoo.co.jp where it would really matter
The term is so high value & frequently searched you only get results from Yahoo Japan's internal directory for pages & pages.

So basically there's no chance to get results from Yahoo on the term unless we pay to submit it.

But since it is a term that is used in their categories too I wonder if it would show up on the first page for results.

First Law of the Seo.

Keyword in the Title, Keywords in the content, as many as you can get away with and most important Keyword in the URL. Often the indexing spiders will do the rest!

That's a good rule under normal conditions.
If the site name was "TV Game Forums" for example it would be fine.

Since the exact URL name is such a high traffic keyword

Yahoo Japan does not use it's spidered results for this exact term.

It only uses results from it's internal paid to submit directory.

This is yet another thing to figure out.
Approximately how many keyword searches a month turns a keyword into value so high Yahoo only uses the results from it's own internal directory?

Since Yahoo dominates Japan currently this is extremely valuable information.

If you are iffy whether a term is a high traffic or potentially good IDN in the Japanese or Chinese market.
Try it on Yahoo Japan or Yahho China
If it goes directly to it's own directory for pages & pages you've hit gold.

I'll try to see which of our other domain names do the same.
