With the advent of ipads and touchpads, a shift away from relatively inexpensive laptops may begin to take place. A company in China called 'Hanovon' looks to be on top of the market with a well complemented Win7 touchpad. They are starting to ship to the US, Australia and Europe. By the way, the touchpad has a webcam, and other essentials that are currently lacking in the ipad.

Using 'Vistalizator' gives 40 languages and there are other available MUI's Multilingual User Interfaces available for these devices.

Here is a fairly comprehensive review: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_1_ix4qP88&feature=player_embedded

I'll believe it when I use it for more than a month. Most Chinese "clones" have relatively awful software, and hardware that falls apart upon the first dent. Not to mention all the IP infringements normally present in both HW and SW..... no such thing as a free lunch unfortunately ....

Is 'Vistalizator' a word you got from Dabsi? :)
