from dynadot.....

.COM/.NET Price Increase Starting on July 1, 2010

VeriSign, the central registry for .COM/.NET domains will be raising their prices starting on July 1, 2010 0:00 EST. Due to this price increase, we are forced to raise our prices as well.

Starting on July 1st, the new .COM/.NET price will be $9.75 per year for all registrations, renewals, and transfers. Register or renew your .COM/.NET domains before July 1st to take advantage of our low prices now!

Is there something yet on the bulk and superbulk pricing ?

I imagine the 750 is going to be 825.

Registrars pay Verisign/Icann $6.xx , going now to what ? 7.xx or higher ?

I haven't got anything nor could I find anything on bulk pricing, but I would guess your 8.25 will be close to what we end up paying.

godaddy codes do seem to be cheaper than dynadot bulk pricing

currently
dynadot: 7.75 .com / 5.99 .net

I thought I was paying 7.50 for a .com
maybe they raised prices June 1 instead... lets hope they don't do it again on July 1st. (:

so godaddy beats that? for renewals as well.

if you have godaddy account manager, he/she will make sure you have the lowest price possible (without you having to hunt for the latest promo code)(which is the only incentive to move at godaddy, otherwise the UI sucks bad)

I don't know what will be the price hike at godaddy though

If you move to godaddy, you deserve what you get from them.

Well, at least next year renewals won't be too bad as 50% to 100% of them will have mysteriously 'vanished'

And mysteriously vanished for "eventual profit" of course. GD are nothing if not the ultimate symbol of US capitalism. The first 2 times I used them I was double charged 3 times ;-)
