I'm pretty sure that «Châlet» is the old (archaic) way of writing «Chalet» in french.

Gotta be careful with ^ as it doesn't always affect the pronunciation of the letter on which it sits (in which case it is sometimes omitted in casual writing). ê's are a sure bet more often than not but î, û and â's you've gotta be careful.

Looking at the first pages of google serps, I believe most results for Châlet are either a referrence to a famous play/song "Le Châlet" or to the name of an hotel.
