In my opinion this is the best format to have a city + hotel domain in Japanese. Sure, you can say "ホテル東京", and that may have more search results, BUT you are picking up the brand name + hotel + city searches.

Pretty sure it is almost always better to have City (first) + Service (second) for most languages.

its interesting! city service sounds right and its my gut instinct, but think about when you search. i find myself searching for service city.

what about anyone else?

i think city/service is more desirable, from search or branding. i would much rather own Newyorkhotels.com then Hotelsnewyork.com
