One of our (idnclub) member owns few hundred of very excellent .中国 IDNs in hand, and I believe that he have bought and own some of the domains on that list -
I'll help you to check if the sales was real or not - but you should tell me which domains (on that list) that you feel interested to know first :p

Market in China is highly manipulated. Right now they are hyping ascii to get rid of their portfolio, which they know will become junk. At the same time, they are quietly buying IDNs. The time will come and it will be just like the ascii market you see now - the prices are ridiculous.
It is likely .中国 will be promoted more since most good .中国 domains are in native Chinese hands. If they have IDN.com, they would hype it, too. Unfortunately, IDN.com are mostly with foreigners.

And/or in some Chinese people's hand but whom living abroad...

My today's experience trying to put an idn to auction on those sites:

4.cn -> Displays error message: "We currently do not support IDN domains"

66.cn -> Displays error message: "Character not allowed" (.com / .net / .org) only .cn can use non latin chars.
