I saw this auction at Dynadot.com
https://www.dynadot.com/marketplace/expired/%E3%83%8D%E3%83%83%E3%83%88%E3%83%90%E3%83%B3%E3%82%AF.net

What? That must be a mistake.

There's no way an IDN.net could be worth that much, lol!

Wait, there's another one:

WHAT'S GOING ON? https://www.dynadot.com/marketplace/expired/%E3%82%A6%E3%82%A3%E3%83%BC%E3%82%AF%E3%83%AA%E3%83%BC%E3%83%9E%E3%83%B3%E3%82%B7%E3%83%A7%E3%83%B3.net

Someone please tell those new investors about idnforums!

Condominium and Internet Bank? I saw those ones and thought they would not be worth $11. But again, what do I know...

The gap on prices between idnforums and the outer world is getting huge!

Multiple Bidders on Both, as well.

Hard to argue with this observation. Check out the auction (http://www.idnforums.com/forums/25881-%5Bnet-bank%5D-net-japanese-goes-very-well-with-the-extension.html) for a similar term (now in the hands of a native after being dropped I assume).

That'll look good on the next DNJournal, update.

Noooo. Big mistake.... Let them purchase at those prices. Perhaps it is us that should sell at those places :)

the owner could renew. and because of that, I'm always a tiny bit suspicious of dynadot auctions - easy to shill bid with 2 accounts.

Thanks a lot Jay.

Some people criticize me for my ironic comments.

Now compare the term on auction ネットバンク (https://www.dynadot.com/marketplace/expired/%E3%83%8D%E3%83%83%E3%83%88%E3%83%90%E3%83%B3%E3%82%AF.net) with my term ネット銀行 (http://www.idnforums.com/forums/25881-%5Bnet-bank%5D-net-japanese-goes-very-well-with-the-extension.html) which was not worth 10 bucks!

True, tho you really can't make money that way as Dynadot takes all the proceeds anyway.

There is no way of knowing i believe, as the domain can be renewed after the auction.

Actually, I think you can tell. If the domain transfers to the highest bidder (four days after the auction ends), then the whois information will show (falsely) "redemption period" for about 30 days. If the original owner renews it, the whois information looks more normal.

So in this case it looks like the original owner renewed it.

Cool game. Who wants to play?

I have some that will be on auction soon. Let's drive the price to $10.000 and then I'll renew them!
