Perhaps the ad inventory dried out

seems that could be the correct, how would someone verify?

I can't tell you how the ads look like on your parked page when viewed from the Middle east, however I checked the adwords inventory and they have 3 ads competing for the keyword in Saudi Arabia. If your parking company has the Adsense for search feed, perhaps using a 2 click lander would help ?

FYI and for future reference, that's what I did:
1) checked for likely source of traffic using Google insights [http://www.google.com/insights/search/#q=%20%D9%85%D9%83%D9%8A%D8%A7%D8%AC&cmpt=q] (Libya and SA in the lead, I picked SA for step 2)
2) Used the Preview tool [ https://adwords.google.com/select/AdTargetingPreviewTool ] to check for ads. I used Saudi Arabia as the locale, google.com as the domain and arabic for the language.

The 3 ads were
ضعي المكياج بطريقة سريعة
www.soqareej.com/
أسلوب مبتكر لوضع المكياج راقي بطريقة سريعة وبثبات أكبر من المعتاد
المكياج خطوة بخطوة
www.evearabia.com/
موضوعات يومية خاصة بالمكياج إطلالتك أحلي مع ايف ارابيا
رجيم صحي سريع|3كيلوباسبوع
www.rjeemcom.com/
بدون رياضة وبالرياضة انت أجمل، برنامج غذائي + تمارين سويدية منزلية

If you want more info you may want to speak to your parking co or perhaps some of the ASCII heads who have more experience in parking.

good luck

We are seeing unprecedented levels of Type In from Saudi.

This could be having an impact.

Saudi traffic is a bit hard to gauge only because MANY people use Saudi proxies in the Middle East. The proxies are always 'on' so they can browse the sites they want which skew stats a lot. I still think there is a high level of type-in, but all cannot be attributed to just the Saudi's.

Kinda of makes no difference to this argument. Traffic from a Saudi Proxy will trigger ads aimed at the Saudi Market.

Furthermore, you are implying that populations that barely have any ability to use IDN directly are typing in on an industrial scale through proxies. Makes no sense to me. Sorry. Yes, a small bleed perhaps, but I don't buy a defacto monopoly.

Is there less censorship in Saudi Arabia compared to other Arab countries?

I used to ask this same question. During my stay at various Middle Eastern countries, at times I was forced to use Saudi proxies as well to browse certain sites. I know UAE just went on a banning spree just recently.
