I've had this name for a while but I'm not sure if it is the correct term. I would appreciate confirmations, especially from native speakers if this is the correct PRIME term.

Not the primary term, 税金 with 12,100 Exact JP searches would be the one you want. Further details with exact search scores and best determined translation though non-native:

税金 - taxes (12,100)
税 - basic symbol for a tax (0)
租税 - taxation / idea of tax (880)
タックス - t-a-x / t-u-x (720)

タックス is simply the sound of T-A-X or T-U-X in general. It can be used to literally spell out "tax" but not usually on its own to mean "taxes" more the literal name of a company or part of a larger string of text of which "tax.." is part of that longer phrase. Search scores, and multiple translation tools help to determine this, the only part left is for a native to confirm this.

タックス is transliteration of English "tax." I would consider it brandable rather than prime term.
