anyone seen this b4?

you write in your own language and it's translated to end user's language.

so for example if i post a message in Russian, someone in India who is using this social network will read my message in Hindi, if they reply to it in Hindi, I will be reading it in Russian. wondering how successful their translation software is.

these guys could use some idns.

It will not get the grammatical syntax for Russian. Slavic Languages are tough. Google translations make no sense.

I am actually using Google to try to learn Czech. It is quite useful for knowing what the words are and even how they are pronounced, but for actually getting the meaning of anything, it is pretty much useless. The worst problem is that it gets things in the affirmative when they should be in the negative and vice-versa. It also has problems breaking down word constructs.

I also doubt if it does Russian to Hindi. It probably does Russian-English-Hindi, Hindi-English-Russian, therefore causing twice the damage to the orginal sense.

Google in Slavic languages is a joke. It often even misses obvious verb negations, translting the exact opposite. Where it should be easy, it gets it wrong. Then it messes up formal/informal speech, mixing the two in one sentence, as well as getting adjectives wrong.

Is Yandex translate any better? Seems like an opportunity.
