Basically discusses how registries currently tackle the issue of 'variants', and includes good definitions for terms which will become more commonplace, such as:

Bundle
Preferred variant
Blocking
Parallel NS
DNAME aliasing

VeriSign *really* needs to publish something soon about how it is going to deal with .com bundling ... its finally time to step up and start announcing guys.

Yeah, that should really have been in the application.

Still most here focused on securing the inevitable rather than addressing the real threat.

The real threat is that ICANN do not hold Verisign's feet to the fire and that they just sign a Generic Agreement, which will allow them to sell the various versions to dot Com to whoever they like.

However, the latest consultation on the batching process does give you all another perhaps last chance to register your views on this issue.

If that happens, I really will feel the last 11 years of "IDN patience" has been a complete waste of time. Pass me the cyanide

I'm surprised to see you and RD talking like that. After all we know, you still think that's a possibility?

They need to overcome their fears through faith: http://www.inspiration-for-singles.com/fear.html

Personally, I'm more scared of this right now: http://www.theonion.com/articles/admit-it-i-scare-the-everloving-shit-out-of-you-do,29160/

Anything is possible with ICANN, right up until the time it is impossible.

I didn't put a "%" on the "If" statement.

I think its highly unlikely, but if we use a 110m hurdles race analogy, we have clambered over 9 hurdles, and just need to get over the last to win. Until VeriSign pronounces something, anything, we haven't finished the race.

OK, the Grand National might have been better, its been more of a marathon than a sprint ;)

I've got a fear of spending $7.97 on a bad e-book. How do I cure that? :-p

Haha, I don't know. It says there's a money-back guarantee, but then you might well fear that they won't honour it!

Yeah, a recursive sales pitch. Innovative!
