all online dictionaries shows me that this one (联通) means link, is it correct? prime? comparing to (链接) which is the prime one that worth holding?? numbers game shows that 联通 is more prime/premium over 链接

search shows some sort of companies to (联通) but I am not even sure that company named the same!! is translation correct and yet a company name too (i.e: Apple), any TM issues here to keep away from??

It's short for China Unicom. Look it up on http://www.nciku.com, it has been recommended to me in the past (thanks mgrohan) and I find it to be an excellent ressource.

Also, I'm not sure if it's a good strategy to discuss names that are about to drop/expire, unless you want extra competition :-p

Thanks a lot for the great source, I used to use http://www.mdbg.net but nciku is much better...
As for competition, hmmm, not a big issue actually, the most important thing for me was not to reg a TM, I already made this mistake a lot when I first entered the biz with almost 0 experience :)
