There is concern in Israel that if the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad is toppled, the country could fall into the hands of Islamic extremists or descend into sectarian warfare, destabilizing the region.
Israeli officials have also expressed concern that the frontier region could turn into a lawless area like Egypt's Sinai desert, where Islamic militants have gained strength since the ouster last year of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.

there are no options, once bashar is down, Islamists will be taking over exactly the same like egypt
all that because of this obama, we are now living in great danger because of him. Radical islamists are in great confidence than ever because of Mr. muslimist Barak obama who is making friendship relations with every radical group :bored:

President Obama’s denial of various forms of Islamist radicalism have amplified the jihadist threat and altered American foreign policy in the Middle East. In his Cairo speech in 2009, Mr. Obama affirmed the misperception that America had been on the wrong side in wars “against the Muslim World” by announcing his new expiative approach to US foreign policy in the Arab world. Since then his and the State Department’s actions in the region have been characterized by retreat, abandonment of civil democratic reform movements, and partnership with Islamist movements, such as the Muslim Brotherhood. The administration’s freedom-antagonistic policies coupled with a desire to find common-ground with the Iranian regime, have effectively quashed hopes for true democratic reform while Obama remains in the White House. The Obama doctrine has dangerously impacted US national security.

We should bring back the autocrats who knew how to deal with these types. Democracy bad, very bad. Obama's fault. He should have stopped the protests with tanks and guns, like they did in China.

There were many candidates beside the islamic one in the elections. obama would have done great change if he said that america would never deal with islamic goveronment in egypt!
He could have done much if he said it clearly.
"America will never support or deal with elected member of brotherhood"
this would have affected many voters who were tired of uncertainty and insecurity looking for stability and they voted for the powerful. Many muslims would have voted for the liberal candidate if they saw america waging war aganist egypt in case of radical muslim won.
People were suprised to see obama encouraging them, supporting the radicals and send them money!
and also respecting their doctrines !!!! Many voters were encouraged by obama friendly speech about muslim brotherhood to vote for radicals
obama still has many chances to stop radicals even without war
but he will never ever make it. He is ugly stupid president.

I think it's a good thing for America to stop attacking Islam and to say it is a friend of Muslims, not just Jews and Christians. It's also a good thing for America not to involve itself in country's democratic affairs. Now getting rid of these autocrats to begin with, that's where America needs to do more.
I'm guessing G that you are a Coptic Christian? If so, I sympathise with your position, because I'm sure there's a lot of fear and distrust about the Muslim Brotherhood.
I personally don't see the value of religion and politics being mixed anywhere, including Israel (and its Jewish state) and America ("In God we Trust"). But since it is, we all just need to get along as best as we can.
