Just sloppy journalism. At least two errors in this sentence alone:
"The bulk of the first 100 new top level domains to be considered are in non-English characters - Chinese, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Arabic."
Unless Apple has now patented the Latin alphabet and designated for English only. I believe the term English was redesignated some years ago.
