What would you say are the 10 most valuable Chinese IDN to have at this time?

Please leave .cn/.com/.中国 out of the question. Simply list the part of the domain that comes before the TLD.

Jose has a list at idn.bz (http://idn.bz/top.php?language=zh-CN). Not sure how they are calculated.

idn.bz will start to produce much more useful results when it is based on "number of searches" not "number of search results". I know, I know Jose, you have to pay for "number of search results" but it would dramatically affect the relevance of the tool .....

Also, "length of domain" is relevant for alphabetic scripts, but much less so for Chinese / Japanese. I don't know if you take that into account at all.

Just wondering where you get the "google search results" from, is it an API call?

For "ก" IDN.bz says "42.800.000". whereas google actually returns:

"About 695,000,000 results."

Also, your bing feed seems dead. Everything is zero I have tested

Perhaps in your list of "domains it will never work for" you should add single-letter alphabetic domains, as they are are a very special case. Nobody knows what they are worth yet.

Trying to be constructive in the new year :)

Not a perfect list.

Yeah, I would throw a few major Chinese cities in .com onto the list:

Guangzhou 41,000,000 population
Shanghai 25,000,000 population
Beijing 19,980,000 population

i'd guess that hong kong is more valuable than guangzhou. also seems the most valuable names would be basically similar among all languages, with localized differences (like city names or legalities--adult names are probably relatively less valuable in chinese).
