Playing with Google translate, låna is "to borrow" in Swedish, and nu is "now". So "borrow.now". If you do a Google search on: låna nu (without the dot in between), you see some other Swedish banking/lending sites at .nu.

The sale also included lån.nu (http://lån.nu). Both regged back in the days when idn-domains were introduced for ".nu".

p.s: even if you don't have a domaintools account, in every query, domaintools shows a line like this which gives an idea about domain's history, at least recorded one,,,
