I'll go out on a limb here and say the result suggests Chinese people are very keen on domains in their own language :rolleyes:

if i remember correctly JSeng pointed out that about half of the chinese applications are from non chinese companies. Then you have to consider the market size. There are simply far more corporations in China than Thailand or Russia i would guess because of the size of the country.

But it shows that there is some interest and demand. Japan with 9 applications is surprisingly apathic if you consider that it is one of the largest and most developed economies in the world.
