Hello
I read (http://internetregistry.info/ ) that " Bridging the last gap in a fully Chinese web is a milestone achievement "
Is there anything special in .中文 that .中国 does not already do ?
I am using chinese domain (i own http://简历模板.中国 , im 2nd on http://www.google.hk/search?q=简历模板 ) and i can not understand any advantage using .中文 ?

Hi Joel,
As far as I know, .中文网 is a (proposed) gTLD (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Generic_top-level_domain), while .中国 is a ccTLD (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Country_code_top-level_domain). That's the only difference. If you don't care, and you're doing well with them, then good for you.
For a name that means something in both Chinese and Japanese, for instance, it might hurt (Japanese) traffic prospects to have a site hosted on a Chinese ccTLD (theoretically).
Cheers, and good work!
EDIT: Many of us around here, myself included, are not fond of CNNIC, the registry for .中国, which may affect resale value.

Hey joel,
I consider it should be .中文网(Chinese website) while not .中文(Chinese characters).
.中国 = .China
To your question:
@TLDRegistry .中国 compared to .中文 http://www.idnforums.com/forums/34147-%E4%B8%AD%E5%9B%BD-compared-to-%E4%B8%AD%E6%96%87.html … need your attention.
Will let you know if they tweet back.

Should CNNIC cry for this? :-p

I rode some stat telling about ( i am not fully sure) .cn + 40% in 2013, and .中国 - 2% in 2013.
Any reason why does .中国 decrease in a such growing chinese internet ?

The.cn and .中国 were unbundled in 2012.
The costs of renewal can be as little as US5 for .cn and the .中国 is US25 +, that will be a big factor in my opinion. Despite the notion that IDN.中国 should be better than IDN.cn. The Chinese Backorder decent IDN.cn but rarely IDN.中国 unless it is a top keyword.

Seems faire. hope .中国 price will be same as .cn in future...
