Currently IDN.com is being registered by anyone. What will happen after .com transliteration .कॉम will be released. will existing users who have registered IDN.com will be given its transliteration or will it be a separate registration.

that's what they want to do but they have yet to implement it, there have been some hurdles, most notably the Intellectual Property Constituency objecting to the plan.

We are waiting to see what will be the next VRSN announcement

I think IPC mistakenly thought that domains owners like iThinkCokeSucks.com would automatically be allowed that string in all of the .com translits, leading to an explosion in "cyberquatting".

Hopefully Verisign has had a wee chat to them to calm them down and hopefully showed them how low the TM abuse level is in current [idn].com.
