If we wait for IDN email to be solved first ..... you can mark 2025 down for when idn.idn will be tackled. I struggle to understand this emphasis on email, especially as it involves every email server on the planet changing its software. Its not a browser thing :no::no:

the universal acceptance group is tasked with selecting area of focus for ICANN to promote the acceptance of the new gTLDs.
I think their discussion was about whether they should push a standard for ascii@idn.idn or idn@idn.idn

I'm pretty sure their effort runs in parallel with the launch of gTLDs, so their work should not delay Verisign's IDN.IDN more than it is.

Before they start messing with email and setting that crap up they need to release IDNs to the public already. Who is waiting 15 years for this already. Seriously. Ridiculous.
