จีน is a very nice name as trade between Thailand and China is one of the biggest for Thailand besides the huge Chinese tourism to Thailand. The formal name for China in Thai is ปนะเทศจีน and คนจีน for Chinese. จีน is very nice as it can be used to refer to the country or the people on a stand alone basis. As a native Thai speaker I think this name has a great potential and I would have bid it myself but I probably have too many Thai Idns now than I know what to do with them.
