Has anyone noticed a surge in traffic, or even an increase in traffic
since the Japanese version of I.E. 7 has been released.
I think this is a very interesting question.
For me, ICHI. com gets about 20 hits per day, plus a few others
but nothing big so far. Still waiting.

Glad to see you've tried a different kind of post from the usual. :)
No, I haven't seen much increase in Japanese traffic, but then again I don't have the ICHI. Hopefully some members with better Japanese portfolios will chime in on traffic patterns.

I doubt that most ie7 beta users are aware of the idn functions. I think developing a few top notch sites is critical to promote the general public awareness of IDN.

It would be nice to determine what % of Japanese users
use native characters as compared to english.
Or how about download totals from Microsoft.
I've seen a lot of web applications that don't
work (pages don't render correctly) with
the beta version of IE7.
There will be some grumbling when the final
product is released (bugs).
But stay positive, it will all shake out eventually.
(Don't quit your day job yet!)

Simple, if you are using ND, just select Asia region.

Does anyone have download totals?
Things will be different when Microsoft forces everyone to convert.
