I have been a long time lurker on the forums. Finally got the chance to get an account on here.

I purchased some Spanish .es IDNs and I wanted to know what you guys thought about them in terms of end user value and a potential acquisition price:

Avión.es - "Plane" in Spanish
Oír.es - "Hear" in Spanish
Adiós.es - "GoodBye" in Spanish
Compañía.es - "Company" in Spanish
Helicóptero.es - "Helicopter" in Spanish
Helicópteros.es - "Helicopters" in Spanish
Reunión.es - "Meeting" in Spanish
Nómina.es - "Payroll" in Spanish
Micrófono.es - "Microphone" in Spanish
Rápido.es - "Fast" in Spanish
TarjetaDeDébito.es - "Debit Card" in Spanish
BienesRaíces.es - "Real Estate" in Spanish
Empréstito.es - "Loan/ Loan Capital" in Spanish

Thank you for all the help!

I don't like very generic domains (with some exceptions);
For example, take Helicópteros.es
You will use it for what?
A site about Helicópteros? How it will be monetized? Ads of companies who sell helicopteros?
I doubt this...
For me, such domain has a negative value of -10 dollars/year.
-BienesRaíces.es and Empréstito.es: very generic and not very commercial terms.
Again, the same question- you (or the end user) will use it for what?
If you have an answer to this question, thn keep it. If not, just drop it.
I think, so called category killer domains are tempting but not very practical;
Unless you are into hoarding domains, go for domains which can be used as a business, company, a site that sell something(brandable) names.
Rápido.es -this one I like for the above criteria, it can be used for transport business or another:
there are many exaples of businesses using various variations of Rápido in many fields.
https://www.rapido.com/es-es/
But your domain is .es which means somewhat limited market; try to go for .com
Good luck!

Sure thing!
There are opportunities around for idn...
As far as Spanish, I believe that future looks bright for Latin America and Spanish and Portuguese;
Brazil is on the rise especially lately;
There are still good domains available because people drop excellent domains failing to monetize them and parking used to be abismal for latin domains.
But lately traffic and ppc have increased and there is a real economic turn in Latin America. More people go online and sales are moving online as well.
For example, last year I registered bebê.com and bíblia.com that dropped.
Both have about 500-600 type-ins /$5/month/ parked each, even with very low ppc
I have a plan to use domains as bebê.com for Amazon affiliate or marketplace type site;
So, to resume: there are two reasons to keep a domain imho:
1) it at least pays for itself via parking
2) you have a good, realistic plan to use it in the future or it has a potential to be sold to an end user;
