idn acronyms that look the same as english version - ok, not ok?

I was thinking of doing an acronym in a foreign script but it looks exactly like the ascii version. Is that going to be a problem?

The lowercase Cyrillic м is not the same the Latin m. Furthermore, the Latin lowercase m is read as a "t" in Russian.
