Thought this and CaféLondon.com were a good investment a couple of years ago.

Any thoughts?

don't take this the wrong way - but you've known about IDN for 2 years? :o you must have way way better stuff than this. I only came on the scene 4 months ago - like a lot of people on this forum.

Some of the biggest names put up for appraisal the last few days were only registered in Dec last year.

either you're not showing us yet, or you were having a nap and missed the biggies. Like I said no offense - just real curious as you had a huge opportunity 2 years ago, and I wish I had known.

I have many IDNs better than this - these registrations were a 'test', if you like. There are many restaurants and cafe's called Café London and Café Paris, so I thought why not.

Why the interest?

why? well if you were regging Chinese, Arabic, Japanese names 2 years ago - you must have some fantastic names - the choice back then would have been great. If this is the case, maybe we can do some business. that's all.

anyway. nice names.

Hi Richard

I like caféparis.com more than cafélondon.com,
because I think that 'café' has more synergy
with france as opposed to the UK.

There is also the thought that, unless UK users
specifically install the French language set on IE7,
then they won't be able to resolve the name
without seeing the dreadful 'warning' bar and
punycode (some UK users wil also not know how
to type in 'é', I mean it's ALTGR+E - not something
that's too widely known.

French users, of course, will have no difficulty in
typing/resolving either name.

Value? Who knows... potentially a good branding
concept here - may sell somewhere down the line
for $2000+ ??

Regards

I totally agree. Café in France is like Bistro, or Bistrot. Parisian people LOVE cafés...:)

Traffic is minimal to these domains.

Very difficult to know, as many times... Developping it would be worth trying, finding end-user for french idn nowadays is still pretty hard. IE7 might give us some clues later_
