Did anyone hear anything new concerning the much anticipated dname implimantation? or the other proposed system (which hopefully wont happan)

From ICANN website:

June 2006: The President's Advisory Committee will submit the final project to the ICANN staff and Board with recommendation to implement the project as quickly as possible.

June 2006: ICANN staff will seek ICANN Board and if necessary DoC approval for implementing the project. This is anticipated to be reached no later than the ICANN meeting in Marrakesh, 26-30 June 2006.

July 2006: Following such approval the request for applications for participation in the technical test will be announced. The evaluation team will be formed, and the IANA process for inserting and removing the experimental labels will be initiated and the test environment will be open.
