The May Zeitgeist has been released http://www.google.com/press/intl-zeitgeist.html

save your regging fingers, it's already been raped ;)

but, something that I notice every month is that some countries top 15 searches are always done in Latin.

for example India. I know we have had this discussion before, but this seems yet more proof that India are not searching in local script; will they ever type-in?

This debate has been done many times but to summarise.

The Indian Internet is very small at present and dominated by affluent English Speaking Elite. As it is rolled out to the non-English speaking masses picture is expected to change dramatically. Indian Government realises this is a huge issue, and has decided that the rather than trying to teach everyone English the Internet must be made accessible to all in their own languages and scripts. Hindi, Bangla, Urdu and others are definitely coming, it will just take a little longer.

Dead Sea is a good vacation destination. Geographical too.

Swiss Watches, you can't go wrong. There is no other way to say this. It is BOTH singular and plural.

The rest of the Russians are too long for me or of temporary interest. Yet, someone may want to pick them up.

It will be interesting to see how much of an issue Long is with Russians. From what I have seen they are much more comfortable with Long than Americans. Perhaps just intellectually superior?
