I got update msg from firefox and updated latest version etc...
after the update when going to an idn i get the xn-- and not the sitename
anyone else seeing it?

I think they reverted to this as the default display, but I believe it is an option that can be changed, although I not sure where it is done.

I've only ever seen the xn-- version in firefox, not the sitename ...

Yes, check the help files. It tells you how to enable IDN. It was disabled by default 'for your protection' due to phishing concerns.

im positive i always saw site name prior to this sucky update..so RD is right..can be changed..ashame it isnt default...

I think if you go to IDN.cctld it will still display without the punycode.

I don't bother with stuff like "help files" because I am interested what the "average user sees" - if it requires looking in the help files, you have probably lost 98% of the market.
