Thanks for all the great info on this forum, I've been having a good read over the last 2 days or so.

I registered my first IDN today, it probably doesn't mean what I hope it does so please feel free to slate me :p

So I went for 練習.net (practice.net). I actually was going for 練習.com but apparently there is "variants" so I can't.

Any good or did I do a bad translation?

Good in Japanese & traditional Chinese.

[EN] practice; practise
[JP] 練習 [れんしゅう] ← ✿ n. vs.

[EN] exercise; drill
[ZH] 練習 trad. 练习 simp. [lian4 xi2]

Great :)

Blast are you using http://etext.lib.virginia.edu/cgi-local/breen/wwwjdic?9T for dictionary references? Just looks similar.

So far I've been using google and babelfish and any dictionaries I can find through google. Yet knowing a reliable source would be handy ;)

That is the most common one. I personally dont use babelfish at all as I find it unreliable.

I use an off line dictionary program that use some of the same resources that some online dictionaries also use, and some different.

Try this free dictionary which is pretty good, and easy to use. Caution that you don't always get the "best" term on any of these systems, so make sure you check Overture, Google, Baidu etc. and when possible ask a native speaker.

Thanks for everyones suggestions :) It's nice to come to a forum where it doesn't take a high-post count just to get helpful replies from the boards respected members.

I'll pile on late. That word is correct, often used, and is good first reg.
