Can someone here explain more of the use of the abbreviation TV in china?

If you ask a chinese native / say to a chinese native TV...would he/she know it? is the term TV common...not common to china?

Thanks,

Michael

I have seen a list of over 200 developed Dot TV sites by the chinese , And all were said to be in use by end users, and after plugging TV in " china's " Ovt. you see they are pretty familiar with the term.
