I have found that searching on the punycode without quotation marks is the best solution!

I have tried both punycode and native language. Both worked correctly. And both showed that 99% of my Thai domains are not indexed by Google.

This is totally expected, since they have never been listed on a web page anywhere.

But it sure would be nice to get them indexed, get all that lovely search engine traffic ....

Well I have been looking through my Arabic Portfolio. Indexing on Yahoo is now pretty solid having had the names listed on a site for about 2 days. The gaps are due to the Nameservers being incorrectly pointed at Dopa. It would seem that to get Chinese indexed it would pay to get a listing page set up and then point them at ND for a while instead of Dopa just to get the names indexed!

Not sure if this is "allowed" in the sense, but what I did a few months ago was to put a list of some of my IDNs ( the ones which I cannot forsee any chance for development ) onto a site I have regarding domain names for sale. With each IDN I put a link to the actual domain. These domains were and still are parked at Namedrive.

The purpose though of doing this was not to try and get any extra visitors or clicks on any of the ads, as to date, these IDNs have attracted extremely low traffic - some have yet to be visited. However, What I wanted to do from this was to try and get the sites indexed by Google.

Now, again, I am not sure if this is allowed, though I remember somewhere, someone said that linking to Sedo parked pages is allowed if you are selling the domain. ( Again, not sure if this is 100% true ).

But for me, placing these IDNs on my webpage did in fact get them to be picked up by Google.

Also, I have noticed that the three links in my signature are also being picked up by Google, whereby they show the IDNForums Page where I have made posts. So this might be something to help you get the IDNs indexed by the search engines. - Best check with Onley though regarding the types of links you can place in your signature, as if I remember correctly, gambling and viagra ones are not allowed.

If it would help, I would be more than happy to place some links to some of your IDNs on the page I made. Just PM me and I will see what I can do.

All the best

Alex

Looking a Chinese portfolio, you can pick out the ones with nameservers at places other than Dopa just by seeing whether they are indexed on Yahoo or not! Not sure why but Yahoo seems to be allergic to Dopa Nameservers.
