Here is statement made by me on August 5th.

http://www.idnforums.com/forums/5687-checking-indexing-in-google.html

Clearly this is now bollocks!

http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=xn--h1acbxfam.net&btnG=Search&meta=

http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=%D1%80%D1%83%D1%81%D1%81%D0%BA%D0%B8%D0%B9.net&btnG=Google+Search&meta=

The reason it is bollocks is that Google now no longer recognises the punycode in the URL. Instead it is recognising the Unicode, which is why we are now getting getting indexed.

Way to go Google!

Let me get this straight..

Originally when you googled for the Unicode, google never found it, or if it did it only showed puncode?

now when googled, the punycode returns no results, but the Unicode does and it is shown in unicode?

does this about sum it up.

interestingly Yahoo returns searchs on both, but only display the punycode

Yes, but there was no "or if it did". It didn't unless the full URL appeared elsewhere on the web page.
