Hey guys I'm going through all the data again for the results of the backlink test.
Initially I ran it through automated software to get my data.
There has been a few changes in Google & MSN (Live) so I just want to do a manual check for which domains were indexed.
This is the Project info so far without the results
Back Linking Test
On September I started to do backlinking test to see what is the best way to index Japanese IDN Domains. This test did not try to achieve boosting rankings for the keyword it was just limited to indexing of the domains.
The Testing took place from September 22 till October 12th (Japan time).
Search Engines tested:
Google US
Google Japan
Yahoo US
Yahoo Japan
MSN
MSN Japan
Ask.com
Ask.jp
The domains were separated in 4 Groups in each group we mixed a variety of competitive & non competitive terms. Also each group contained around 3 dot jp domains,& a combination of 4 or 5 coms & nets generally. This is to also see if there would be any difference in using ccTLDs, & could backlinking methods be different. Also in each group there is a mixture of one two word katakana phrases, One or two character kanji words, & a mixture of katakana & kanji term.
Group 1
www.Punycode
All Backlinks has www.Punycode.EXT
3 www.Punycode.jp
2 www.Punycode.com
2 www.Punycode.net
Group 2
Punycode
All Backlinks have Punycode.EXT (no www).
4 Punycode.jp
3 Punycode.com
1 Punycode.net
Group 3
www.Unicode
All Backlinks has www.Unicode.EXT
3 www.Punycode.jp
3 www.Punycode.com
1 www.Punycode.net
Group 4
Unicode
All Backlinks have Unicode.EXT (no www).
3 Unicode.jp
3 Unicode.com
1 Unicode.net
You may ask questions I have run the data scans daily. Also you can post if what I wrote so far makes absolutely no sense at all.
& even though I did this test with my domains I'm hoping that others will look at the structure to help out testing in other languages.
