Just saw this (no, it isn't mine - I wish it was):

ô.com on Sedo Auction, ends in about 14 hours, currently at $2,600, reserve met.

Another positive tale to tell for IDNs...

That sounds great for my one letter .com's yay!

I also swooped down on some expired ones recently and now own a bunch of the extended latin one letter .coms although mine are deeper down the list of extended latin they should have some kind of similar value esp. in the future.

yay! not depressed anymore about my loss of great russian names.

Do you think it might be someone shilling to jumpstart an auction?

Not sure I believe that is a real bid .....

8,525 in US overture alone

42,500,000 google results for "ô"

Has google trends for:
Viet Nam
France
Slovakia

For the top three.

Personally I would rather have "à (http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/?term=%C3%A0u%C2%A5k%20%C3%B4&mkt=us&lang=en_US).com" But at $10,000 for the asking price it's a bit much right now for me. :)

So I can't see why this is not real.

Did anyone hear the Monte/Mulligan Interview last night?

All Prices from here will depend on how many listened and how many believed.

Monte mentioned a $250K Escrow for Hebrew IDN several times and Mulligan was alluding to a 7 figure Russian, I believe!

If there is any truth in those and word get out, which in theory it should have, then yesterday's prices are exactly that!

I received a confirmation a 7digit deal involving Hebrew domains was mentioned. but the real confirmation will come when announced. lets wait and see...should be interesting when/if details will unveil

For the record: i know nothing about nothing and have nothing to do with that developing mentioned deal.

Actually, it is much more than that.

Monte Cahn is one of the most respected names in the business. He is also the Auctioneer at Traffics.

I doubt if he would be publicly referring to such sales, if they weren't already nailed down.

Of course, a few more details would be nice.

I can see I have been incredibly stupid, having not invested in a single Hebrew. We all assumed Japan would go first, but what we forgot about was the high percentage of prominent Jewish players in the ASCII game. Many of these guys will need no translation at all for Hebrew. If the penny is going to drop this could well be where it lands.

This wasn't a conversation, this was Geo-Global Podcasting!

Is there anywhere I can get a recording to take a listen? If this is true this is a excellent way to start the new year!

They do archives at Moniker I believe, but I don't think it is up yet!

This seems to be where you will need to look!
