Which registeration company??--Moniker, Domainsite etc., or a local one would be better? And Why?

You have a couple choices:

Domainsite: $6.99 NO REFUNDS
Dynadot: $7.99 --> Dynadot Credit if you wish to return the domain. Swap 1:1
Moniker: Return Domain for .25cent fee.
