So what did you expect? Billboards on the sides of camels in English?

Arabic is catching up fast, and the higher prices of oil are starting to kick start their economies which have been in the duldrums for years.

Even Chinese and Russian investors are getting very interested in Arabic!

It is what I expected, just nice to see it! Some are now averaging 8 cents a click and up.

What most of the crap talkers don't appreciate is that every sale in Arab Countries will be done on the same margin if not more than they are done everywhere else. The profit per unit is the same if not more, therefore the clicks have to ultimately be worth the same if not more.

What has been the missing is the competition. Once the number of advertisers reaches a critical mass the value per click will rise rapidly. The Internet is going to be adopted universally as the main means of marketing non-perishable items that have standard specifications, whether it is New York or Timbuktoo.

The only real question has been whether Internet Addresses should be in English or Arabic. Of course this is a no brainer, unless you have haven't got a brain! Unfortunately, most of those that were top of the class in Web 1.0 are standing in the Dunces corner when moving up to Web 2.0.
