Never thought about this market, kind of fun for those into word games. Probably loads of possibilities out there.

Probably works good with .ws. Maybe co.ws, arro.ws, bre.ws, minno.ws and marshmello.ws

More extentions are created, more valuable are DOT COM domains. That's a good thing.

Imagine which extention is easier to remember when we have a thousand extentions.

ICANN is making it easier to apply and run a registry, anyone with some cash and skills can apply for a new extention and run it from his/her own basement.

Amusing, perhaps memorable but I think the dot will kill any SEO value.

That mean my counti.es is a lost cause?

Returning to the post, I think they are already too many gTLD, this never are going to end?

And lots of them for me are very related i don't see the differences between .mobi and .tel to create other tld, and like that most of them are related.

Giant is right. Verisign are laughing.

The more confusing TLDs there are the more people will stick with the most memorable. Dot Com or ccTLD and perhaps dot net.

They won't let any previous gTLD grow, or any rediculous gTLD like .museum.

Why don’t we get together, and propose the new gTLD .WTF I am sure are going to get a lot more type-in that some others.:)

Rolls off the tongue and may clarify for the IDN challenged that you put the funny squiggly things at the front of the dot

Damn...
Even .tel can be initiated, why not .XXX?
I still remember the fucking news about .XXX being rejected.

It's back under discussion, and still may happen.

The irony is that this was one of the "new" extensions that truly made sense for the internet and it got shot down.

Another cash cow is created for a lucky registry (and ICANN) as the TM owners all reach for their checquebooks to "seceure" their rights.

Two letter names are not allowed anywhere.

But it is a nice domain hack to own.

.tel and .mobi are both different.

.tel will be for phone numbers where you can look up more information on the person supposedly. Sure you could do the same with .mobi but this is .tel's goal.
