There are only 8 japanese cities with that kind of population.

From smallest to largest, Sakai, Chiba, Sendai, Kitakyushu, Hiroshima, Kawasaki, Fukuoka, Kyoto, Kobe, Sapporo, Nagoya, Osaka, Yokohama, Tokyo

You may want to expand to a little less population :)
(there are a total of 209 cities with > 100,000)

Markits: are you sure you meant to write .com and not .ws? Because it looks like .ws pricing to me.

Yes I admit that I am looking for bargains here. I bought 堺市.com, 堺.com (Sakai) not long ago for less then 1k.

I also have just purchased two Japanese city . coms with population above 200k each for $35 per name.

damn. you got yourself a steal, especially that Sakai with 800k population, and you got the version without Shi :o

I have a feeling the seller didn't know what they were selling.

Just registered さかい.com. I think it means "Sakai.com" or "堺.com". さかい.net was regged by a Japanese company "Go Sakai" towards 2017. The .jp is also taken.

It is inteesting to revisit past threads. The Japanese geo domains have been appreciated greatly during the past year. This Domain Wanted post looks rather silly from today's standard.

Bailing out touchring?

As sunsei21 said:
ehh there is not really alot that i see that i want everyone riding the geo train atm and the offers i have made were either not returned or turned down due to development possibilities so go figure

So my selling looks silly right? Why would anyone sell geos that are short in supply, and that others won't sell.

Just that i prefer to concentrate on chinese domains, which has always been my strategy since day one. Some months back, i rejected a mid-5-figure offer on a chinese geo, btw.

Gold or Silver the way to go?

I sold most of my gold, left only some. I think gold is a safe bet when the next round of inflation comes. For now, gold might consolidate? No? lol
