Just curious. We all know that neither of these are necessarily better than .com or ccTLD. However, many IDNers have .ws, .cc, etc.

.ws is cheaper, but is .cc worth five times the .ws? What about other IDN-friendly extensions on the horizon? Do we look at what is used now? Searched now? How can we reasonably justify spending money on .ws or .cc or even .tv when they are not even top ascii extensions?

And, yes, I have .cc, .tv, and .ws domains in case someone thinks I am bashing a particular extension.

I really don’t know but I just think if .ws mean website and/or worldsite, .cc I really don’t know what it mean for IDNers, but I read something about credit card or anything cc like community college for ascii, .tv television, I just got .ws because it seem the more reasonable for generic IDNs, for me in this case I just think if the extension complement my IDN, like if you have in mind the best Chinese, Japanese or any other language IDN “ hotel , auction, cars, forum, chat, etc” to register, which extension do you think fit your domain best .
That is just what I think in referece to IDNs .cc .ws & .tv I don’t have to much experience in those extension is just my point of view, that don’t mean is the best option.:)

usually i buy .ws because i convince myself that i will develop it and i have started on a few like the ones in my sig i bough my 2nd .tv ever in my life the other day not sure what will hapen to it in the future and .cc i have never owned one even though i believe that .cc has had the higher amounts , sales wise. so its a toss up also will depend mainly on how many ext support certain languages unlike the ascii names you cant buy japanese.se or .xyz so might be a supply and demand thing

.cc actually already has some foothold in the China ASCII world, for what it's worth.

The only IDN I own in these extensions is 酒店.ws, and the only reason I got it is because it's an ultra-premium. I wouldn't really register middle-tier terms in any of these extensions. Ultra-premiums will always be worth something, in any extension.

I registered an ascii .ws some time ago. I also have been bored to death and recently registered two IDN.ws that are fairly easy to develop. Did I mention that I also regged a few .tk? Bored bored bored. Gimme some good meaty IDN news so I don't go posting on 'Car Wreck' threads at an unnamed forum. Did I mention I was bored?

OK, so what if you registered a Latin ascii .tk with over 1 million overture? I did. Would that be a keeper?

Personally, for names relate to Music, News, Media or Entertainment, I prefer .TV

For other names, .ws is better than .cc

I'm gonna post a few back here in a day or two and test your theory :-)

OK, but what if the name is not available in any other extension? Even in ascii, what if there is no other extension at all. Top name. Do you reg and keep .tk?

Top name - such as:
business.tk
sex.tk
casino.tk
loan.tk
.....
Yes, I think I will do it.

I have read the words of several members here that a keyword is a keyword. It has been written that IDN.biz, IDN.ws, etc. are still worth monetizing. Even if .ws and .biz are essentially meaningless to the majority of non-English speaking surfers.

So, when is .org not OK? UnionEuropéenne.org and Vétérinaire.org seem a good fit, but what about télécom.org or even TéléphonePortable.org? Good Google trends for all. Thoughts?

Personally provided it is Premium Keyword .anything you are likely to eventually find a buyer.

One of my first ever sales was $900 for Sexo.ws , sold 30 other .ws for reasonable amounts. One of my first IDN sales was a .tw for $700.

There is no doubt .com is and will continue to be king but there are plenty of ladies and gentlemen in waiting out there.

Incidentally, I prefer the likes of idn.biz to idn.net , only three .net IDN, never liked em even in ASCII, but then that's just me. :)

Aren't we lucky to have a choice. ;)
