german domains and the dash

The question has been asked here several times and even though native german speakers responded in the threads, they did not directly answer the question:

Are multi-term german domains better with or without the dash, e.g. does the dashed domain get more type-in than the undashed domain?

I realize that many german businesses prefer the dashed version, but has this usage conditioned users to type dashes or not?

Any evidence appreciated.
